Static-X - The Neverending Death Trip
If you have no idea who Static-X is... you should hold your breath till your nuts turn blue...
Static-X is an Industrial Metal band forged in 1994 in good ol' Los Angeles, California USA. They released their sixth album this year titled "Cult of Static". And their most famous and influential album to date is still their first, "Wisconsin Death Trip".
Line-up (from left):
Back when Nu-Metal dominated the world, Static-X was one of the bands that helped define that genre along with bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit and Disturbed among many others. However, the roots of Static-X was still in Industrial and it was a very clear signature that set them apart.
So if you've never heard of Static-X, or if somehow they've faded into the recesses of your mind... here's one of their biggest hits, PUSH IT! (click to listen).... Sick ass vid ain't it??
And this is one from the album Machine...
Black & White
And here's one from the "Queen Of The Damned" soundtrack... (was suppose to be a follow up to Interview with The Vampire... didn't really match up for me but still a decent movie... :P)
And not to forget this one from the NFS Underground soundtrack!
So there you go, if that ain't enough to fire off your interest for Static-X... then you don't deserve to be on this planet. :P
Don't forget, they're still around!!! go look'em up!!! and listen to as much as you can!!! STATIC-X BABEH!!!!!

The Clay People - Industrial Overdrive from Albany, New York
TRecently I asked people on facebook what band they'd like to see featured on The BOOB, and someone said STATIC-X!!!! and i was like, "fucking great idea~!"
So... while searching for Static-X videos and stuff, i came across a link that said "Slipknot, Disturbed, Static-X - Awake"... these three powerhouses in ONE song... how could that be!!?! what kind of monster would i find???
And it turns out that the dick who posted that video made a mistake with the name, or he was one hell of a marketeer.
So the band turned out to be one called, The Clay People. And although Static-X rocks massive metallic balls, i'd like to feature The Clay People first. Simply because they're a nice find. But don't worry, Static-X will be on The BOOB very soon!
So Boobies, this time The Booberman brings to you.... The Clay People
Now, i didn't manage to find too much info about this band. But what i can say for sure is that they've been around for quite a while. With their first ever release dating back to 1991 (The Toybox EP). These guys are still around and kickin' it hard, but yes, there has been some musical changes in this band over the years. Some good, some not-so... perhaps.
Ok, here's where i try to describe what this band sounds like.... ok imagine, Korn's most furious style doing a dance of mish mash death with Corey Taylor's (Slipknot) vocals while Static-X's axe riffing styles wreak havoc all over the place.
No idea what it sounds like? Well thank god for the Internet and especially Youtube!
Here's my personal favourite:

And here's another good one called:

The Clay People - Awake
Here's a more recent video from The Clay People... but its from 2007, doesn't seem to be anything new after this. Massive change in style, not too sure whether i like it or not... You be your own judge...

Mustasch - Swedish Hard Rock/Heavy Metal
Hallå Boobies!
(Hello in Swedish)
This time on The BOOB (Best Of Online Bands), we've got one of Sweden's best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal bands, Mustasch!
(Hello in Swedish)
This time on The BOOB (Best Of Online Bands), we've got one of Sweden's best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal bands, Mustasch!
Line-up:
(From Left to Right)
David Johannesson - Lead Guitar
Ralf Gyllenhammar - Vocals, Rhythm Guitar
Danne McKenzie - Drums
Mats Johansson - Bass
I found out about this band very recently and fell right in love with them. There's no nonsense with this band and their heavy metal sound. Personally, it seems like there's a lot of old school 'i-wake-up-every-morning-just-to-kick-everyone-in-the-fucking-balls" Metallica in this band. Not saying its a bad thing, but just pointing it out. Heavy duty drum beats, axe-grinding guitar work, driving bass lines you can actually hear(unlike some other bands :P), and catchy melodies, Mustasch kicks major arsel!
If these guys are any indication of Swedish Hard Rock & Heavy Metal, then the Booberman will definitely be looking out for more bands from Sweden!
Mustasch has been around since 1998, and since then, they've put out about 7 albums so far. Including their recently release titled "Mustasch" in September 2009. Anyway, since the album list is gonna be a long one to go through, let's just enjoy some videos... then I'll put links at the bottom of this post so you can find out more!
Here are some of my favourites:
Black City
Down In Black
Double Nature
Now if you like what you hear from Mustasch then here are some links for you to get more information and music:
Don't forget to check out other bands on The BOOB like Bullets & Octane, Danko Jones, Rev Theory, and just about every other band on The BOOB!
Can't be bothered to read, and just wanna watch videos and head-bang instead??? then head on over to BOOB Watch: Hard Rock

Steven Tyler Quits Aerosmith... What Are We Gonna Do Now?
Hey Boobies,
We're gonna side-track a little on this post from our regular stuff... because we just damn well have to...
According to Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Steven Tyler has quit Aerosmith.. And in a pretty sudden way to boot... apparently none of the band members were even aware of it!
But MAYBE... its a rumour... (i damn sure well hope so).... Seeing that Steven Tyler himself has not given any official statements yet.
Anyway, only time will unfold exactly what's going on. EVERYONE would hate to see Steven Tyler leave the band. But hey, sometimes a man's gotta do what he's gotta do...
Joe Perry, has also said that Aerosmith will get a replacement if they have to...kinda reminds me of that whole John Corabi joins Motley Crue episode...

Gunfire 76 - Rock & Roll on Wednesday???
What would happen if Wednesday 13 took a plane, got zapped by aliens and then got tossed into the mosh pits of Los Angeles, California?
You'd get his new band.... A Good-Ol'-Feel-Good-I-am-drunk-as-shit-and-don't-give-a-damn Rock & Roll band by the name of
Now, before you get a culture shock from this new band... bear in mind that this is NOT the band Wednesday 13 or The Murderdolls, or The Frankenstein Drag Queens From the Planet 13... and therefore should not be compared as such...
We've seen Wednesday 13 do the horror rock stuff enough to know that he is so damn brilliant at it. So Gunfire 76, is refreshing in the sense that its not the typical kinda stuff you'd expect from Wednesday 13 ... then again... Bourbon Crow was an even bigger leap...but this is one that's not too far enough a leap to be completely different, but just far enough to alienate a lot of people...
I mean... its pretty understandable... considering fans of Wednesday 13 have to go from this...
See what i meant about the aliens and Los Angeles thing???
Ok, enough of the bullshit. Here's a taste of Gunfire 76 before we go any further....
Good ol' rock & roll with Wednesday 13's signature vocals... Its good... but that's pretty much it for me... I kinda wish that Gunfire 76 would go even more balls out with the music. And it doesn't help knowing that Wednesday 13 is the man behind and in front of this band.
Starting to get more poppy??? Yeah, i kinda feel that way too... I don't have a problem with it... but again, i just wish that they'd kick it up a notch and set themselves apart from other bands doing this kinda stuff... the tracks can seem pretty stereotypical to the type of music that Gunfire 76 seems to be modelling... its not a bad thing, but it can be done better i think.
Yep, more of that 80's glam rock thing goin' on here... it's a nice song... but again, lacking in edge... at least that's just my opinion. Personally, I'd like to see a bit more of a 21st century twist to the tracks... no, i don't mean throw in electronic elements and shit... but kinda like how Atreyu did with their Lead Sails, Paper Anchor album... 80's stylings, with a modern approach.
Anyway, Gunfire 76 will be a great band to check out live, so make sure you don't miss that! as for the album, its a nice one... but maybe too nice... hence, not great. Definitely a decent album to add to you record collection/mp3 library... but not something that'll be legendary.
But fuck it, if its an album u can get drunk and party with... it works! And Gunfire 76 definitely works for those purposes!
P/s: Gunfire 76 will be touring with Bullets & Octane in the US for November 2009 and the UK for Dec 2009! Fore more details on tour dates & venues, click here.

뷰렛 (Biuret) - Korean Rockers, Beautiful & Full of Spirit!
안녕하세요 Boobies!
(Ahn Neyong Ha Seyo Boobies) **translation: "Greetings, Boobies!"**
This time on The BOOB(Best Of Online Bands), we've got a sensational South Korean Modern Rock band called Biuret!
Line-up:
Mun Hye Won (문혜원) - Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Harmonica
Lee Kyo Won (문혜원) - Lead Guitar, Backup Vocals
An Jai Hyun (이교원) - Bass, Backup Vocals
Alright, like I mentioned a while back during the Art Vs Science post, I managed to attend the One Movement Festival in Perth, Western Australia and find some really cool gems to talk about on The BOOB. Well, Biuret is one of them gems.
The band played on the main stage in the middle of the afternoon during the festival. And boy did they brought the city of perth down with their explosive set! Besides their original tracks, they even covered Paramore's "Decode", and also AC/DC's "Long Way To The Top" which they gave their own unique twist to!
Biuret - Long Way To The Top (AC/DC Cover)
With a beautiful bass player packing some mean and powerful grooves
A handsome lad doing rip-roaring, high flying guitar work.
And last but not least, a multi-instrument playing, song writing, smokin' hot lead singer
I'm sorry, but i find her so hot that i just have to add one more pic!
I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY~!
Oh yeah, they were using a session drummer called D.R.
And here's a shot of yours truly, The Booberman, with this fantastic band backstage!
Ok, now for the bits you've been waiting for...
Biuret formed in 2002, and had a breakthrough EP titled "My Name is Biuret" in 2005.
Their first full length album was released in 2007, titled "Be Full Of Spirit Beautiful Violet". This album is definitely a good one, with a nice range of songs, pop-ish at times, but still alright.
And recently they released their 2nd full length album "Dreams Come True", after becoming the Overall Winner of Sutasi.
Ok, I'm not sure how "Dreams Come True" and "My Name is Biuret" sound since i don't have the albums. But if their live performances and "Be Full Of Spirit" album offers any indication... I think you'd better get ready for Biuret to take over some day!
Couldn't find any official myspace of the band. This is the closest I managed to find. Don't think its official though
As for their own official site, again, I'm not sure cause I can't read Korean, if anyone can help verify it'll be much appreciated... i won't pay you, but i'll appreciate you... :)
FINALLY, the music videos... enjoy...
My personal favorite. bloody intense performance...
Another good one... fuckin' hell...

Danko Jones - Bad Attitude from Canada?! You Betcha Ass!
Ahoy Boobies!
This time on The BOOB, we've got a band from Canada known as Danko Jones!
This time on The BOOB, we've got a band from Canada known as Danko Jones!
Members:
Danko Jones - Vocals/Guitar
John Calabrese aka JC - Bass Guitar
Dan Cornelius - Drums
If you're looking for music for you to do a sexy strut down the street while your naked and waving your dick around and also flipping the finger at everyone who stares all at the same time... Then this band is for you!
With a more whimsical vibe than ACDC, and yet danceable beats. Danko Jones serves a very special brand of Hard Rock. You know, the kind you dance to in a really embarrassing fashion as if you were in a club.
But all jokes aside, Danko Jones, is a straight up, macho, no nonsense "I-am-man-I-hunt-for-women" attitude, rock and roll guitar riffing ala ACDC meets Punk Rock kinda band.
The first song i heard from this band a while back ago was "I Love Living In The City" from the We Sweat Blood album. And throughout the whole album, there was not a single disappointing moment.
Now, they've got a 5 albums out already. And i gotta say, this band is not losing momentum! BUT, without further delay, let's bring on the videos! So you can stop reading and start enjoying!
Danko Jones - I Love Living In The City
Danko Jones - First Date
Album: Sleep Is The Enemy
Danko Jones - Code Of The Road
Album: Never Too Loud
There are a couple more videos but I'm not gonna post'em all here. You can check in to BOOB Watch: Hard Rock to view some other videos of Danko Jones and other bands.
If you'd like more info about the band, here are some links to get you started!
Also, here's a list of their albums so far.
If you like what you hear and would like to buy the albums, head on over to these links!

Rev Theory - NYC Hard Rock is Far From Over
Line Up:
Rich Luzzi - Vocals
Julien Jorgensen - Rhythm Guitar
Rikki Lixx - Lead Guitar
Matt McCloskey - Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals
Dave Agoglia - Drums
Alright, this time on BOOB, we're featuring Rev Theory. A hard rock band from New York City, New York, USA.
I just discovered this band a couple of days ago, and so far I'm lovin' it like Cookie Monster to choco chip cookies!
Anyway, Rev Theory's music is the kind of stuff you race your car to or get into bar fights with. And according to a review by Dennis Cook who was at CrueFest 2. Rev Theory's live performance is definitely something worth checking out.
Ok, enough chit chat... let's get on to some vids and discography info bout this band!
Their most recent album is titled Light It Up and its a really good one. Pedal to the metal anthems, destruction derby worthy songs!
Previous albums include Truth Is Currency under the band name Revelation Theory.
Now, Rev Theory's got 3 music videos from the album Light It Up, so I'd say either the album is doing really well... or they just have shit loads of money to spend, either way... its all good.
Unfortunately, embedding features for the video have been disabled ( the corporates' dark iron fist strikes again!)...
So you'll have to click on the links below to get straight to the videos.
And here's a good live performance from Rev Theory
OR
you could subscribe/check out "BOOB Watch: Hard Rock", which is BOOB's Youtube playlist for hard rock music videos.
BOOB is now on YOUTUBE!
Ahoy Boobies!
The Booberman's just started a Youtube channel for the BOOB Music Blog.
I'll be creating more channels once i've got enough material and time. The channels will go by the names BOOB Watch, followed by the respective genres for the channels. But in the mean time, i'm starting out with my personal favorite genre, Hard Rock. feel free to embed the channel onto your own page as well.

Bullets & Octane (Hard Rock/Punk from Orange County)
If you love being drunk, rocking out, having a good time while getting your head split apart by a bunch of rock n roll pirates... then Bullets & Octane is the band for you!
Members
Gene Louis - Vocals
Kevin Besignano - Guitar
Jack Tankersley - Guitar
Brent Clawson - Bass
Brian Totten - Drums

Now, I first heard of this band a couple of years ago and fell right in love with them. The first album i heard from them was their 2nd release In The Mouth Of The Young. And they sounded like the bastard child of Guns & Roses, Motorhead and Social Distortion.
Intensive punk rhythms which let keep you moshing and head-banging till your fuckin neck breaks, face melting guitar riffs and solos, INYERFACE style bass grooves that add on to the rhythmic assault. And of course... vocals that range from the sound of your conscience to a pack of dogs barking in your face with a megaphone while they're on steroids and viagra...yes, a very disturbing thought... but powerful. :P
Bullets & Octane bring back a strong flavor of danger than mainstream rock seems to have lost these days. Heavily tattooed, high energy, intense, barely sober, fun, dangerous, and romantic, all at the same time while rockin' out.
This is the kind of band you'll be able to listen to after you've been on a binge and your passed out on the bathroom floor holding a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a heart-breaking love letter in the other.
The single, Caving In from In The Mouth Of The Young is a perfect introduction to the band.
Here's another single called Pirates, off their first album The Revelry. it'll give you an idea of how they sound live too :)
Alright, if you like what you hear, GO GET THE ALBUMS!!! And go watch them LIVE! They'll be touring with Gunfire 76 in the US and the UK.
Now, they've recently released their 4th studio album "Laughing In The Face Of Failure". and judging from the tracks on myspace, its a pretty good album. Whereas their 3rd album, "Song For The Underdog" was a bit of a disappointment for me."In The Mouth Of The Young" is still the best. While their 1st album "The Revelry" is definitely worth listening to... its a great album, nuff said.
BUT FUCK! I STILL LOVE THESE GUYS!!!!
Bullets & Octane albums: (click and you'll be taken to links to buy them)
The Revelry (2004) *A Good Album*
In The Mouth Of The Young (2006) ***MUST LISTEN!!!***
Song For The Underdog (2007) *might wanna skip this one*
Laughing In The Face Of Failure (2009) *SPANKING NEW!!*
Alternatively, you can check out Bullets & Octane's myspace and get the songs off iTunes!

Anyway, the boys of AVS include:
Dan W - Drumset/Vocals
Dan Mac - Guitars/Keyboards/Vocals

Here's one that does a bit more justice
Art Vs Science has an EP out at the moment. So if you like what you hear... GO GET IT!
However, i'd like to point out that the song that caught my attention for this band was a track called Higher. unfortunately its not on the EP nor can i find a decent Youtube video of it (FUCK!). So I am looking forward to an album from these guys! will drop you Boobies some updates if any word comes in.
Alright Boobies. that's all for now... there'll be more to come from the One Movement Music Festival. The next post should be one about a modern rock outfit from the beautiful Asian city of South Korea called Biuret... truly a band you wouldn't wanna miss!

58 - Diet For A New America
Hello Boobies!
YES! that is what i'm calling all you fantastic people out there.... BOOBIES! Not Noobies, but Boobies!
Now I hope you've been doing good. Because I have been doing great! I've been listening back to a lot of stuff i've accumulated in my mp3 library... and re-discovered this band called 58.
Band: 58
Album: Diet For A New America
Labels: Americoma , Beyond Records
Official Website: N/A
MUST LISTEN Single: Piece Of Candy
Band Members:
Vocals/Guitar - Steve Gibb (Son of Bee Gees' Barry Gibb)
Vocals/Guitar/Others: Dave Darling
Bass - Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue, Brides Of Destruction, Sixx A.M.)
Drums: Bucket Baker
Additional Musicians:
Alvino Bennet - Drums, Ernie Perez - Saxophone/Background Vocals, Alfredo T. Ballesteros - Saxophone/ Background Vocals, Brie Darling - Percussion/Background Vocals, Rob Ladd - Drums, Randy Landas - Bass, Stink - Vocals, Teddy Zig-Zag - Accordion.
Production:
Producer: Dave Darling
Mastering Engineer: Eddie Schreyer
Mixing Engineers: John Bogosian, Jeff Peters, Dave Darling
Engineers - Lenny DeRose, Dave Darling
Now this was a side project of Nikki Sixx's which was extremely short lived. Not sure how well it did commercially, might not have been that great i think. BUT it wasn't really a commercial band. In fact... if memory serves me right, 58 was suppose to be a one off side project, and they're weren't even gonna play live. But apparently, they did do a few shows due to demand from fans.
58 was also an attempt at marketing music purely via the internet. Which in recent years should've done wonders for them, but back in good ol' 1999 and Y2k, I guess most of us were worried about our computers crashing at the stroke of midnight and losing all of our downloaded pornography.
Anyhooo...
Perhaps 58 was ahead of their time ... even their music was pretty different at the time. And even till now, its sometimes difficult to believe that Nikki Sixx was involved in this project. However, if you've heard Motley Crue and Sixx: A.M. , 58 will be a nice twist to add to your library.
On to the album, Diet For A New America.
Its filled with sleaze, angst, political rage, depression, dark wit and so much more. With subjects matter which reflect a society of people living off the streets and doing what they have to do to get by. From homeless people commiting suicide to a girl who puts up a webcam and starts a voyeur site only to get into trouble later on.
Musically, this album has alot to offer a person with an open mind. If you're looking for it to brighten up your day, well, expect some clouds. Its basically a safe journey into a dark and twisted world that 58 has created with Diet For A New America, too dark to be reality??? maybe not.
It IS a colour full album, with tracks that make you feel like your drunk and on ecstasy at the same time like "Alone Again". Then you've got mind-fuck ghetto tracks like "Killing Joke" . Then there's the phat and sleazy "Piece of Candy" with a lazy rap tinge to it. A couple other favourites of mine from this album would be "Shopping Cart Jesus" and "Queer".
Alright, that's it for this post. There are links all over the place, and they mostly lead you to either where more information can be found about the particular word/topic, and some take you to places where u can hear the songs.
Unfortunately, 58 never made a music video. However, there are some fan vids out there showing them as Sixx: A.M. ... Song titles are right, band name's wrong. but don't worry. just listen to the tracks and refer back to this post if you ever feel confused.
If you've got questions, just drop a comment or send an e-mail.
So now i leave you with "Piece of Candy" by 58, from the album Diet Of A New America.

The beginning of the BOOB…
Welcome to the BOOB,
No its not a porno blog, though most will agree that you can never have enough of those. Once again, THIS BLOG IS NOT A PORNO BLOG or PLORG.
ANYWAY,
BOOB stands for Best Of Online Bands. Which means any band that is on the internet qualifies to be featured on this blog! However, the band must meet very strict requirements, the main rule being...
I ACTUALLY HAVE TO LIKE THE MUSIC!
If this sounds unfair to you, then go away... because music is subjective, if you don't like what i like. You can jump off a bridge and have a hissy fit for all i care.
But bottom line is, if i don't like the music from the artist/band, i won't bother to mention them. I am however, open to all kinds of stuff.
So if there's an act/band/artist out there that you love, or if you'd like to promote or have someone listen to your music, just drop me an email at:
And if its all good, i'll contact you back to get more info and material. Simple as that!
Now, basically what i'd like to do with this blog is to find/discover stuff that I love or haven't heard of before and feature them on this blog! I get really excited when i find out about new acts and songs, so i figure that i should help spread the word out about them!
And i hope that you'll do the same, if you like something you've heard, be it a band in a club, a new song on the radio, some bootleg on youtube...etc. if you like it, tell people about it. it will be VERY much appreciated!
Now, rest assure that if there's any material on this blog that infringes on copyright laws or if you find your images/music/materials being used on this blog which you want removed, i will gladly co-operate and take down the content if required to do so.
So yeah, this has been the first post! not much music at the moment... but it will come! It will come all over from all over!
and once again... THIS IS NOT A PLORG!
(p/s: if you were hoping to discover some music from this post, i'm sorry for not mentioning anything. but for now, go check out Bullets & Octane - Caving In. One of my fav songs ever!)
