Now, I first heard of this band a couple of years ago and fell right in love with them. The first album i heard from them was their 2nd release In The Mouth Of The Young. And they sounded like the bastard child of Guns & Roses, Motorhead and Social Distortion.
Intensive punk rhythms which let keep you moshing and head-banging till your fuckin neck breaks, face melting guitar riffs and solos, INYERFACE style bass grooves that add on to the rhythmic assault. And of course... vocals that range from the sound of your conscience to a pack of dogs barking in your face with a megaphone while they're on steroids and viagra...yes, a very disturbing thought... but powerful. :P
Bullets & Octane bring back a strong flavor of danger than mainstream rock seems to have lost these days. Heavily tattooed, high energy, intense, barely sober, fun, dangerous, and romantic, all at the same time while rockin' out.
This is the kind of band you'll be able to listen to after you've been on a binge and your passed out on the bathroom floor holding a bottle of whiskey in one hand and a heart-breaking love letter in the other.
The single, Caving In from In The Mouth Of The Young is a perfect introduction to the band.
Here's another single called Pirates, off their first album The Revelry. it'll give you an idea of how they sound live too :)
Alright, if you like what you hear, GO GET THE ALBUMS!!! And go watch them LIVE! They'll be touring with Gunfire 76 in the US and the UK.
Now, they've recently released their 4th studio album "Laughing In The Face Of Failure". and judging from the tracks on myspace, its a pretty good album. Whereas their 3rd album, "Song For The Underdog" was a bit of a disappointment for me."In The Mouth Of The Young" is still the best. While their 1st album "The Revelry" is definitely worth listening to... its a great album, nuff said.
BUT FUCK! I STILL LOVE THESE GUYS!!!!
