This time on The BOOB, we've got a band from Canada known as Danko Jones!

If you're looking for music for you to do a sexy strut down the street while your naked and waving your dick around and also flipping the finger at everyone who stares all at the same time... Then this band is for you!
With a more whimsical vibe than ACDC, and yet danceable beats. Danko Jones serves a very special brand of Hard Rock. You know, the kind you dance to in a really embarrassing fashion as if you were in a club.
But all jokes aside, Danko Jones, is a straight up, macho, no nonsense "I-am-man-I-hunt-for-women" attitude, rock and roll guitar riffing ala ACDC meets Punk Rock kinda band.
The first song i heard from this band a while back ago was "I Love Living In The City" from the We Sweat Blood album. And throughout the whole album, there was not a single disappointing moment.
Now, they've got a 5 albums out already. And i gotta say, this band is not losing momentum! BUT, without further delay, let's bring on the videos! So you can stop reading and start enjoying!

At 46 years of age and a die hard fan of pure-in-your-face rocker, Danko Jones is the real deal. I'm amazed this band is not as popular here in the USA as in Europe. Best song ever (for me anyway) is Home to Hell. Crank it UP!

"Dance" from 'WE Sweat Blood' is a great, rockin' song with fat beats and serious hooks. "When she cuts the rug my eyes get stuck" is an hilarious line. Mr. Jones and company certainly rock in a way few estrogen-injected bands can muster in this new century. - Daiv Whaley

ReplyDeleteYeah, "Dance" is another great track! And i totally agree with you that its hard to find bands like Danko Jones these days. This sorta "display your balls loud and proud" kinda attitude is missing from alot of acts these days.
