Static-X - The Neverending Death Trip
If you have no idea who Static-X is... you should hold your breath till your nuts turn blue...
Static-X is an Industrial Metal band forged in 1994 in good ol' Los Angeles, California USA. They released their sixth album this year titled "Cult of Static". And their most famous and influential album to date is still their first, "Wisconsin Death Trip".
Line-up (from left):
Back when Nu-Metal dominated the world, Static-X was one of the bands that helped define that genre along with bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit and Disturbed among many others. However, the roots of Static-X was still in Industrial and it was a very clear signature that set them apart.
So if you've never heard of Static-X, or if somehow they've faded into the recesses of your mind... here's one of their biggest hits, PUSH IT! (click to listen).... Sick ass vid ain't it??
And this is one from the album Machine...
Black & White
And here's one from the "Queen Of The Damned" soundtrack... (was suppose to be a follow up to Interview with The Vampire... didn't really match up for me but still a decent movie... :P)
And not to forget this one from the NFS Underground soundtrack!
So there you go, if that ain't enough to fire off your interest for Static-X... then you don't deserve to be on this planet. :P
Don't forget, they're still around!!! go look'em up!!! and listen to as much as you can!!! STATIC-X BABEH!!!!!

The Clay People - Industrial Overdrive from Albany, New York
TRecently I asked people on facebook what band they'd like to see featured on The BOOB, and someone said STATIC-X!!!! and i was like, "fucking great idea~!"
So... while searching for Static-X videos and stuff, i came across a link that said "Slipknot, Disturbed, Static-X - Awake"... these three powerhouses in ONE song... how could that be!!?! what kind of monster would i find???
And it turns out that the dick who posted that video made a mistake with the name, or he was one hell of a marketeer.
So the band turned out to be one called, The Clay People. And although Static-X rocks massive metallic balls, i'd like to feature The Clay People first. Simply because they're a nice find. But don't worry, Static-X will be on The BOOB very soon!
So Boobies, this time The Booberman brings to you.... The Clay People
Now, i didn't manage to find too much info about this band. But what i can say for sure is that they've been around for quite a while. With their first ever release dating back to 1991 (The Toybox EP). These guys are still around and kickin' it hard, but yes, there has been some musical changes in this band over the years. Some good, some not-so... perhaps.
Ok, here's where i try to describe what this band sounds like.... ok imagine, Korn's most furious style doing a dance of mish mash death with Corey Taylor's (Slipknot) vocals while Static-X's axe riffing styles wreak havoc all over the place.
No idea what it sounds like? Well thank god for the Internet and especially Youtube!
Here's my personal favourite:

Here's my personal favourite:
The Clay People - Car Bomb
And here's another good one called:
The Clay People - Plug
The Clay People - Awake
Here's a more recent video from The Clay People... but its from 2007, doesn't seem to be anything new after this. Massive change in style, not too sure whether i like it or not... You be your own judge...
